THE BOSS IS BACK.

We like to think of George Kruis as our very own, but the truth is until now our co-founder has been leading a double life. Aside from building an empire here at fourfive, he has also been moonlighting as a professional rugby player.

We’re pleased to announce he has come to his senses and today marks not only his 32nd Birthday but also the announcement of his retirement from rugby.

George will be ending his illustrious 13 year rugby career, which has seen him play for England, British & Irish Lion and Saracens, to focus on fourfive at the end of this season in Japan. We can’t deny George hasn’t been in high demand and he has been linked with a return to the Premiership, but he’s made the decision to focus on the fourfive brand and life after rugby.

My rugby career has been amazing, the friends and experiences I have made will shape the rest of my life. I have always given 100% to everything I do and right now I’m planning on my focus being 100% on building the fourfive.com brand when I finish with Saitama Wild Knights in May.

George Kruis

“For me, I need to embrace my business and the opportunity it presents. I want and need to challenge myself to replicate my international standard off the field – and build the fourfive brand. fourfive.com gives me the opportunity to stay connected with my extended rugby family as a large part of what we do, beyond nutrition and wellness, is to help with player transition from professional sport to life after sport, something that my 13 years at Saracens and 7 years as an RPA representative installed in me,”

At fourfive we’re incredibly proud of George and his impressive list of rugby achievements, which include 45 caps for England competing in two world cups, winning three European titles, and four Premiership trophies in 185 appearances for Saracens, and playing in the British & Irish Lions tour of New Zealand in 2017. He will finish playing rugby in May ‘22 as he sees out his contract with Saitama Wild Knights hopefully replicating last season’s trophy under Robbie Deans.

Since fourfive’s humble beginnings as post match changing room chat with our other co-founder Dom Day, we have built one of the UK’s leading wellness companies. In the last three years fourfive has grown rapidly, we now count Boots, Next and many high street retailers as customers. Our unique approach to quality products and high specifications has meant we are now the nutrition and CBD of choice for 100’s of professional athletes and those looking to stay active for longer. We also entered the professional arena in recent months, becoming the official wellness partner of Saracens and wellness nutrition supplier of Leicester Tigers.

We’ve got big plans for the rest of 2022 and plenty for George to get his teeth in to.

We can’t wait to have you back boss!
